Birthday party in Christmas holidays?

Can anyone who's done a Christmas school holiday birthday party give me an idea of the likely percentage of children who were able to make it? I expect the numbers are likely to be low.

It would be at home, drop off, for 5-6 year olds, a couple of days after Christmas.

I can't decide whether to invite all the girls in the class, about 15, or go for the 8 DD's specifically named. DD would love the whole class to come I'm just worried about the chaos and small space! About 6 turning up would be ideal space-wise, but I don't want to invite too few and risk no-one coming!!

We’ve always managed to get nearly everyone, except for perhaps a few who had already gone on holiday or to visit relatives.

DD is 1st Jan Baby. She's nearly 9 and we've always had good attendance at parties before and after 1st. If you have contact details for the Mams I'd get in touch with the ones she really wants and make sure they can make the date.

That's great to hear you've both got almost everyone. I wasn't sure if it wouldn't work at all but DD really wants a party with her classmates on her birthday this year. Good idea to contact the mum's of her best friends. I don't really know them but I've got their numbers from the class Whatsapp, I'll try that.

My daughters party is on the 11 and we’ve invited the whole class and got 12 replies. I imagine the first week May be quiet or you could wait and do the party first week in January as the date doesn’t overly matter as long as it’s close.
