So I'm throwing a 1st birthday party for my son and need some ideas. There's will be around 15 kids 0-5 years.

  1. What to put in a party bag that's baby safe,.I've already got bubbles as who doesn't loves those. What else?
  1. Food ideas, thinking finger foods for the 1year olds but what? So far I'm thinking :

*Cheese or cream cheese sandwiches cut into finger size
*Fruit platter
*Tomato pasta ( not so sure about this one)

  • Drinks I'm thinking just water

Is that enough? Feel like there needs to be more choice.

There will be food separate for adults too which we will get caterers for.

Entertainer is booked.
Cake booked

Decorations I have bought and will be doing ourselves.

We've hired a hall so will also make a quite private space for any breastfeeding mums is needed.

No to tomato pasta as very messy! For my son's first (so for little ones) I had baby friendly Crisps (veggie straws), loads of veg (Cucumber, broccoli, avocado etc), fruit (strawberries and mango to my recollection), some banana biscotti things, some egg and peanut butter bakes (whisk peanut butter and egg and bake in cupcake trays, but check with guests firsts re allergies), and then cake! Don't need much 😊

For his 4th birthday this year I had oranges, Cucumber, grapes (sliced) sandwiches (vegan cream cheese and hummus), Crisps, popcorn, cupcakes (vegan), chocolate fingers, oreos (vegan), Breadsticks, veggie sausage rolls, vegan pizza, then cake! We aren't vegan, but are veggie and there were 3 vegan kids there so tried to be as accommodating as possible. Also made sure we checked with parents for allergies. One was allergic to peanuts so avoided (which my sun was horrified by as he lives a peanut bitter sandwich!).

Have fun!!

Party bags:
A small book - it’s cheaper to buy a set like this and split them]]. Maybe a Mr Men book for the slightly older children.
Finger puppet
Rubber duck
Chunky crayons
Bubbles
Cake

For food, I’d do:
Sandwiches
Pom Bears and breadsticks
Cubes of mild cheese
Cucumber and carrot sticks
Cocktail sausages
Boxes of raisins
Strawberries
Fairy cakes

No pasta!!!

Pom bears for the children who aren't babies
Cocktail sausages and sausage rolls
Carrot and cucumber sticks
Party rings are a must that will be expected by older children
Fruit shoots or caprisun

For baby party bags, what about a Lanka kade animal each?

Older children: stickers or small craft kit, balloon, small bag of haribo, tattoo transfer, keyring

Being realistic you've got about 12 parties to come so just chill on the first few

What 0-3 year olds need a party bag

Hi, the entertainer was someone local to me. It is a franchise though so not sure how wide they are spread. It was just a playgroup I go to and asked if they did parties
