Help! Need present ideas for nieces' Christening on Sunday

My two nieces, aged 4 and 13 months are getting Christened on Sunday, and I'm at a loss as to what do I get them for presents? Any ideas? I was planning on spending £10 each on them.I guess that their dps and dgps will be getting them traditional things, and didn't want to buy toys being so soon after Christmas. Thinking of some sort of keepsake but no idea what!

TIA

A hardback classic book ?

How about books - you would be able to get a really nice good hard back book for about a £10. It wouldn't be an every day book but more a "special" book ie/ Peter Pan, fairytales, poems etc and is something they can keep and treasure for ever.

must be a good idea then

Now that's a good idea for my older niece, but not so sure about the younger one? But I suppose that if it a keep sake it would be ok.

Definitely good as a keepsake - at 4mo she's not really going to know what she is getting unless it is something she can chew

you could get a classic like winnie the pooh for the little one ? DD had the chronicles of narnia for her christening at 9 months - something for her to read when older and keep.

I meant 4 years and 13 months.
Am off to Borders tomorrow!
Thanks guys!

lol if it had been 4 months and 13 months their mum would have had to have got herself pregnant immediately after having her first

I got my god daughter a silver charm bracelet (without the charms) off ebay for £6.75. It was really nice and I've bought a very nice silver charm each year so far.
