My sil went to one as Nena (German singer, 99 red balloons) - vest top, headband, wristband, great hairy armpits (stick-on beards from the party shop)... oh yeah, and some red balloons!

I quite fancy the idea of Siouxsie... It would be fairly easy to do without shelling out too much. Think lots of people will go as Boy George. Dh and our friends are all going as 80s pop stars - Dh is going as Nick Beggs (Kajagoogoo), my friend is going as Adam Ant and her dh is Marc Almond.

It is really tickling me though thinking about going as Tina Turner...

Very tight faded jeans tucked into flat boots, leather jacket with fringes on, tight t-shirt and you could be either Kim or Kelly from Girlschool, or add weedy moustache and you're any one of a billion pub-rock superheroes - though you need to accessorise with a bullet belt and sew a beer towel to the arse of the jeans to be really convincing.

Gigglewitch, that's really kind of you. I'll give you a yell if needsbe but I'll have a hunt first. Curtain rings could also work mooma - am intrigued by the idea of ears getting sliced off though and me suddenly turning into Van Gogh midway through the party, instead of who I was before!
