9 year old party at home

We are having a party for my 9 year old shortly. Doing an activity then bringing the children back to ours for lunch. We will have about 1.5 hours and then asking parents to come for cake cutting / pick up.

There will be about 10 children.

Does anyone have any ideas on the best way to fill time - thinking about 15 mins before food, half an hour or so after food. and then maybe half an hour after cake if the parents are chatting.

Don't really want them to be pulling toys out of cupboards etc - so wondered if I ought to get some things out and what would be good. Or if we should have some kind of activity - don't want it to be too much like school though! If the weather is good we might try to get them outside for awhile.

Maybe a quiet 'painting mugs' type activity- plain mugs and deco pens from baker Ross work fab.

Or also the memory game (take a tray and put loads of things on it and get them to remember them all)

We had DDs 9th birthday at home. Only had 4 friends because we were restricted to 6 people in the house because of COVID.

We set up the Wii on the big TV and they happily played an hour of Wii sports then played with bats, balls, football etc in the garden for half an hour.

Maybe get ingridients for pizza and the kids would make their own smallish pizzas? Could be quizzes about their favorite cartoon characters (maybe with small prizes, too, like stickers or hair accessories or colorful pens etc) or singing/dancing contests. You can also use programs like Fotojet or Photo collage maker and show them how to make birthday collages, then have a collage contest.
