One decent bottle of bubbles plus a decent tube of sweets

Clear drinks bottle filled with sweets

These both went down well!!

Packs of playing cards?
Small activity kits from Hobbycraft?
Sweets/chocs are always a hit
Rubber bouncy balls
Pens, pencils, erasers, sharpeners, rulers etc
Gloves? You can get multipacks on Amazon that aren't bad
Hot chocolate lollipop things

We normally do 1 item (around £2 each) and a piece of cake
