Lots of first birthdays coming up over the next few months - what's the approx 'going rate' for a present (for mums/babies we see every few weeks - not our best-est friends!!).
... and any ideas of what to get? I was going to go for a book

A fiver?
A book or car, something like that I reckon

belcantavinissima · 18/12/2007 12:37

between a fiver and a tenner

Something around £5.

Around a fiver.
DD got - and gave - mostly books (That's not my ... range are popular) and jigsaws (Like this).

Books.

In theory a 10 for £10 deal from the Book People would be good for this scenario . In practice I find this a bit depressing and go for 3 for 2 in a normal bookshop.
