Any ideas on making a polar bear costume?

Help! DD (aged almost 3) is going to a fancy dress party at her nursery next week. To my dismay she has announced that she wants to go as a polar bear... anyone got any clever ideas??

Just an idea..... you could probably do all the white bit easily... it' just the head which would be hard to make.

Look on ebay for a white furry coat to fit her - and just sew some little felt ears on the hood. Bit of black face paint on her nose and Bob's your polar bear !

Ooh that's very sweet! I wonder if I can get it here from the States in time... maybe available here... will investigate. I had assumed I would try to cobble something together myself, but that is adorable!

A snowman costume could be transformed easily into a polar bear.I have one but no time to post. You can come and get it if you are in SE London!!
