OK march 08 mums, let's get timmyinatizzy seen off in fine style. she's marrying in less than two weeks time, so get yerselves organised here.

I suggest this hen night has all the ingredients of a truly glorious hen do, unfettered by cost, time or place. I'm thinking:

location
eye candy
sinful food
bring-a-bottle / cocktail recipe
appropriate activity
appropriate clothing
a nice chune or ten
a gift to commerate this special event
anything else?

Do one thing at a time if yer busy. I'm not, I'm on bed rest, so I'm off to amuse myself on the old interweb now...

Well I'm halfway through the virtual hen night already and it's not even 5pm... You all have a lot of catching up to do!

LOCATION - my house (just had bath so already in girlie beautification mode)
EYE CANDY - the lovely gethin on strictly in an hour. yum!
SINFUL FOOD - just had cake while in the bath, and having fresh pineapple and Green & Black's ice cream after my dinner later. oh and maybe a mince pie. and there's a pack of choco leibniz in the cupboard for emergencies...
COCKTAIL RECIPE - red wine with a gaviscon chaser, naturally
ACTIVITY - trying to do the jive in time with the lovely gethin
CLOTHING - dressing gown of course, but maybe glammed up with the ruby red glittery Dorothy shoes I wore on my own hen night...
Tunes and gifts TBD but Lionel Richie and Girls Aloud will definitely feature...

I'm LOVING timmy's hen night so far. Hope you are too!

timmyinatizzy · 09/12/2007 22:06

How exciting a thread with my name in it Did I miss the party? Bah! Cheers you guys. Although as MB said this party can last until the big day.

I decided to bite the bullet and go with the dress from Isabella Oliver that someone put the link onto on here. I am not a dress person. The only other dress I have owned since childhood was the cream style one I wore the first time I got married! Anyway I tried it on for my mum today and she said it looked lovely, just my colour. I went for the plum one in the end. As I thought blck would be too depressing for a bride!

Oh can I have one please MarchMum?

merryberry · 10/12/2007 07:52

hurrah, the hen is here!

time to start telling the deeply funny and witty jokes...

Oooh timmy - beautiful dress and a lovely lovely colour!
[cue cooing (and probably weeping given hormonal pregnant state) from hens over how beautiful timmy will look on her wedding day]

merryberry · 10/12/2007 13:18

it is gorgeous! does it feel swishy and special to wear?

timmyinatizzy · 10/12/2007 21:02
