restaurant in london for birthday night out?

It's my dh's birthday next week. I've got someone to look after my 3 ds for the night. Hurrah!!!

I want to take dh out somewhere in London, we live in N London, so central or North would be great.

I'm looking for a recommendation for somewhere with a wow factor or somewhere romantic. It can't be anywhere too booked up because I want the booking for next Saturday! Have a few quid to spend, need to make the most of a child free night!!!

Any ideas anyone?

Have you had a look at the Toptable website. You can specify areas, type of food and look at customer reviews. they will also book online for you. There is usually sample menus and photos too.

Just to add to that Rhodes, W1 is worth a look. Food was good and not too expensive.
