10 Year Anniversary Celebrations

Hi all
Hubby and I have been married 10 years this year.

We’re going away for one night on the actual day but also want to celebrate with family / friends if possible.

It’s not until October so I’m hoping things will be back to normal by then (or better than now)

However just don’t know what to do.

Was thinking of just having a few drinks somewhere with close family and who was in our wedding party

Hubby wants us to hire a hall and invite loads of people who are our friends now and everyone from the wedding.
I said if we do that we will have to put loads of food on and I usually spend family parties just running around setting up sorting food etc and not enjoying it.
Also would cost a lot more doing this and quite frankly I’m sure no one is really that bothered it’s our 10 years anniversary apart from close family

Getting sick and tired of Covid. We’ve spent 16 weeks shielding and want to get back into the world and have things to look forward to and enjoy.

I’m conscious of the fact it’s less than 3 months away. Should I just say to a few people keep the date free and we can firm up plans nearer the time when we know what’s happening with covid?
