I need some food ideas for 4 year olds soft play party.

Also do you think it’s acceptable to give sweet cones rather than a party bag?

Sweet cones-yeah just don't make them too big as they're only little
Food-sandwiches, veg sticks, fruit kebabs, buns maybe pizza slices?

Yeah sweet cones are fine instead of party bags. You can get little personalised stickers for them too.
Do they not provide food? Usually the softplay ones will. Otherwise I would do sandwiches or rolls ham/cheese and some plain. Crisps, cupcakes. You could get jugs of juice from the centre for drinks. Keep it simple.

Good I think I’ll stick to sweet cones then. Seems a lot easier.
The soft play centre does offer food but at £4.10 per child, and there will be up to 30 children, it could cost up to £123. I just thought surely I could do food myself for less than this

I'd simply make a bunch of cheese and ham sandwiches and take a few punnets of strawberries. Easy, cheap and you know they'll eat it.

We made up little food boxes for each child. That way we could stop individual children from eating a whole plate a party rings and nothing else. It also helped us judge quantities better and we didn’t have loads left over. They were a lot easier to transport to the venue and saved us having to get serving bowls and plates for put all the food on. It was easy to clear up and we had possitive comments from the parents too.
In each box we had:
Fruit shoot
Bag of Pom bears
3 mini sausage rolls
Babybel
Bunch of grapes
Bag of iced gems
Party hat

My DS doesn't really like sandwiches so for his I did chicken satay things (good as long as kids can trusted with sticks!), pita bread & veg sticks with little tubs of hummus and cocktail sausages (plus the usual bowls of crisps/popcorn and party rings!)

Sandwiches: cheese, jam, ham
Pizza
Sausage /cheese rolls
Mini sausages
Crisps
Cucumber
Biscuits: party rings , jaffa cakes, jammy dodgers
Birthday cake

Sweetie cones instead of party bags are fine. The sandwiches must be on cheap white bread and you must not exclude party rings!
