DS wants a superhero party for his 4th birthday

We always give DS big traditonal home parties. Last year we had ten children and their mum/dad and we also hired a clown in addition to doing the usual pass the parcel, statues, pinata etc. His birthday is always a special time and DS gets mega excited during the preparations.

This year I let slip to him that I was thinking of doing a superhero party and DS now has his heart set on one. It is do-able. I'll just insert the word "top secret" in front of the usual games - so pass the "top secret" parcel, "top secret" whispers, the pinata could be an evil mutant donkey and so on and so on. DS and I were making masks the other day and I thought this might be a good activity to engage the children in if I prepared the masks and bits to stick on them in advance, plus I could make a couple of capes for those who don't have costumes.

Having whizzed through Google I have found a few good ideas BUT DS's birthday is in October and a lot of the ideas were for outside - can anyone suggest more inside super heroey things to do? Or do you think my ideas above are enough for four year olds - being dressed up might be sufficiently stimulating for them to make up their own games. I could even leave a box of props for them to do their own thing couldn't I?

Any ideas anyone?

You could get hire a supeprhero costume and get your dh or a friend to dress up in it.

Put a super hero forfeit in each layer of the pass the parcel.
Print out different super heros on pieces of paper for a different version of musical chairs. If there are 10 kids, print out 10 super heros and put them on the floor, each child has to stand on one, when the music starts they have to get off the super hero and dance and you take one super hero away, and when the music stops each child has to stand on a super hero again, the one without a superhero is out.
