Both DDs are at nursery tomorrow and I am alone for the first time since October. What on earth shall I do with myself? Any suggestions?

I'd like to have a haircut, shop and go for a coffee and cake and read the papers.

the reality is that I'd probably clean my house.

go shopping, have lunch, get your hair/nails/feet done massage/spa day
stay in bed all day, sit on the sofa and eat junk food and laugh at fern and philip, go sky diving.....the possibilities are endless...lucky old you...I can only dream

NOOOOOO DO NOT CLEAN YOUR HOUSE

A nice peaceful lunch by myself, no demands for more this and less that, no spilt juice to mop up. Then shopping, trying on as many things as possible. I usually guesstimate if something will fit or suit me if I had children with me then end up with the extra hassle of taking things back.

Go and sit an a tiny teashop and pork out on cake - non shared cake.

Have a haircut - then go shopping - feeling all shiny & flciky

Magazine and lunch (with glass of wine)
Havinf spent a long, leisurely time getting ready - not to be glam - just beacause you can!!
Enjoy it my darling - how lovely

sazzybee · 17/07/2007 20:02

I would go and try and evening wear and then eat lunch somewhere quite posh where you couldn't possibly take children and drink wine. Then I would have my hair cut, have a manicure and go to a winebar and have a glass of champagne and read the paper.

Sorry - it's all a bit alcohol related

Whatever you do - I absolutely forbid you to clean!

go shopping! Its the one thing that I really miss, but I don't mean a busy shopping centre. I like towns that have small shops where I can chit chat to the staff and just potter. (I am must be getting old)

reikizen hoping you're having a nice day

Thought I'd let you know how my child free day went. Run in the morning followed by long, interruption free shower. Sorting out stuff ready for return to Uni that has been hanging around for ages while eating cake and drinking tea.
Lovely, lovely massage followed by a spot of light shopping and a snooze (2 hours!!). Fish n' chips for tea and DP put both girls to bed. Ahhh bliss...

Sounds lovely. Glad you had a good day. I would love a massage now. Lucky lady!
