Help... where can we rent a wedding dress?

My friend's asked me to help her with her wedding in London. Since parents from both sides are visiting in 6 weeks, they decided to have their ceremony then. We don't have a lot of time, and we aren't too keen on buying a dress to separately have altered and fitted etc.

Can any one share wedding dress hire shops in London?

(People keep saying go to mayfair, but it looks more like shops selling dresses). We tried bridal gallery in bromley but the slots are all booked up. We are keeping girl meets dress / wish want wear as a back up - I think actual dress hire shops would be able to help with alterations (hence easier for us).

She doesn’t want high street off the peg. She wants to rent a proper dress that’s more than £2k RRP.

We are just surprised there aren’t that many hire shops in London, because hiring a dress doesn’t really seem too outlandish.

Sorry don't know where to hire but if she decides to buy, have a look at TKMaxx...saw they have a new wedding collection on their website a day or two ago.

Thanks. She has been recommended a photo studio that can provide dress hire. (Not been yet to fit it out so still uncertain). We will keep TK Maxx as option. Though she really doesn’t want to buy one. The tailoring will take time and it’s basically money down the drain. (Says the bride).
