No, I'm not wondering whether to send him, he's definately not going. I'm wondering when/if to call to say, after all, he's not coming. Is it worth calling at all? If so, when? Oh, I do have a mobile number of the nanny of one, so could sms her ...

When DD couldn't make her classmates party because of sickness, I did call. I called sometime after 9ish in the morning, not too early to still be in bed but early enough to let them make arrangements if necessary.

Text the nanny.

Do call - my ds was really upset when one of his friends didn't come to his party and didn't call. He kept running to the door to see if he was coming and was worried about his party bag and bit of cake. Or sms the nanny you know. Just so long as the party person gets the message.

I would call after 10 on a Sunday.

Not before 10 and if it a mid afternoon party probably around 12.

He's pretty good friends with one of the birthday boys. It's a 2pm to 4pm party. I think I'll text the nanny, after 10.
