Morning all,

OK, I think everything is sorted for the party tomorrow, but any advice/tips would be nice.

We are having her party at the local park, with party food, a cake, some games (pass the parcel, musical statues etc) then I was going to let them play in the park for a while.

Any thoughts?

sounds great, but do you have a wet weather plan?

PandaG · 15/06/2007 10:00

Also, how far does your cd player project the music for musical statues? ie is it loud enough outdoors? I've had this problem in the past!

No wet weather plan, 25 kids so my house is not an option , I have to admit to being a bit concerned about that.

Music is fine, her Daddy is sorting that

Any thoughts on food, I was just going to do standard cocktail sausages, sandwiches, crisps, cheese and tomato hedghog, cakes etc

food sounds good to me. How about mini pizzas (or large ones chopped up) they are nice cold. Maybe cherry toms and grapes too, for a od to being healthy.

I'd take a pack of plasters and some antiseptic wipes in case of tghe odd scrape.

Maybe stickers for tghe children to wear, so whenthey are playing in the park you can tell who belongs to tghe party and who doesn't - useful if you don't know her schoolfriends very well yet - DH finds this useful as we do them with names on so he can address children he has never met before by name.

What about a treasure hunt in the park?

split children into teams, give each a colour - you have already put bits of card in gthe corresponding colours round the park - you know how many, prize for team who finds the most of their colour/all of them the quickest...?

Thanks Panda, especially loving the treasure hunt, what a fab idea

Ring up a local ice cream man and arrange for him to come at the end of the party. TReat all the kids to an icecream. Much easier than party bags if you are away from home.
(We will do this for dds next party, I've decided)

Ah, we are lucky, there is an icecream man there 364 days a year, great idea though, will do that....and watch all the other parents groan with horror at the thought of the kids getting in to the cars with ice cream (evil snigger)
