Kids party entertainment ideas

Son is gonna be 4 and I'm hoping to have a party in the hall but I wanna do something themed and a bit different.
My current ideas are either an evening disco, lights and music etc
Or a themed fancy dress party, Disney decorations etc.

My question is... does anyone have any ideas for games and entertainment?

There will be about 25 kids ranging between 2 and 12 so hard to find things to keep them all entertained. Party will be about 4 hours long.
Last year did a treasure hunt and they all loved it.
Won't have a bouncy castle as previously have had several accidents including a broken wrist so am now not keen.

Any ideas or tips?

you could have an 'in the jungle theme.' jungle type decorations, make your own stuffed animal, face paining and balloon animals workshop. there are loads of choices for it. then a cake with a lions face on, and you are sorted. will include some links below x

alternatively you could make the whole thing about stuffed animal making, and have a 'teddies bear picnic for tea'
