Joint party-WHERE DO I START?? Durham/North East area

ds(7)and dd(3) have birthdays a week apart,they have never had a 'proper' party just tea parties at home.After a really difficult year I think they deserve a big bash this year but it's only 6 weeks away so i'm pushed for time.

I'm thinking of just hiring a hall/room in a pub-that's not really a problem but I need a good entertainer/magician,any ideas?I really don't know where to start,as I said i'm new to parties!!

also,what are the best things to put in party bags,obviously i'll have to do boys ones and girls ones,where can I buy cheap things like bobbles,play jewellery,pencils etc??

what about contacting musical minis to hold a party at a local community centre?

I know the lady as dd and I go to mucisal minis every week and it is fab, and I am sure the lady who runs it does partys too.

they are fab,you're right.they used to come to the local mums and toddlers.thanks for the suggestion but my son(8 on his birthday) would seriously die of embarrasment!!

It needs to be more of a magician/balloon type act,something to suit the younger ones(3 will be the youngest)and the older ones(10 will be the oldest) There are quite a few on the net but i'd rather go with someone who has been tried and tested.

oh right, I get you! Cant really help I am afraid, you could try the tried and tested soft play?

Hope someone else comes along with ideas, my dd is only 18 months, so have not yet had any issues with partys

I was having a look for Bouncy castles to hire and I came across loads of adverts for entertainers in this region.
