Kids at grown up party

Hi! I’ve just hired a church hall for a little celebration and because all my friends (and me!) have kids it’s an afternoon (tea and cake sort of thing). There’s no outside space and 60-70 people coming, mostly couples with kids aged 6-9. I’m panicking a bit as there’s not much space and I’m struggling to know what to do to stop them getting too bored! I will put out colouring, but what else? Please help!

Is there anywhere you could put a film on for them?

is there a hall area? maybe you could make that a 'kids zone' with coloring, arts and craft etc

Children’s entertainer?

Mmm, maybe a bit old for a small bouncy castle?
Are they generally well behaved children?

CherryPavlova · 10/09/2018 18:05

Yes, hire a children’s entertainer to perform at one end of the hall.

Wouldn't having an entertainer for the children rather take over the party? Lego, Jenga, a marble run, the sort of games they can get absorbed in and play with or alongside each other might work. Maybe mark off a play area so bits of toy don't get all over the hall.
