horse riding party for a 6 year old

ds2 wants one. he has been horse riding a few times, on holiday.
has anyone done this? any suggestions on what to do and what not to do? is this a disastrous idea completely?

Actually, yes. I think it's really fantastic there, excellent staff and some truly beautiful ponies. I'm quite exacting, and they do well to live up to my expectations! I've recommended them on MN Local Well guessed!

Yes, dd has done one of the holiday courses and they are excellent - a good mix of boys and girls, too. Also, once they hit 12, they can become volunteers, which is a good 'community work' opportunity, and it's just such a good charity to support. Did you know you can do Pony Club there as well? Currently Fridays from 5pm to 6pm.
