Hi

sorry for the silly question but we're newish at this party stuff. Ds has been to a few parties of nursery kids (4) and so far they have always provided food. This party today is 1.15-2.45 and I'm not sure whether to feed ds before we go or are they likely to provide food? It's a 'Gym' party at a sports hall.

What would you expect? TBH, I'd always expect there to be food at parties but I don't want to PRESUME

TIA

I've yet to go to a childrens birthday party where food wasn't provided if thats any help (DD is 7, DS is 2 so we've been to a fair few).

I'd give a light snacky lunch about 12 if I were you

Oh thanks Dh said I should not presume but I did think that a party normally has party food then cake! Ds can eat loads so I'll do what you suggested and make him something light before we go and then he can eat once there but not starve if for any reason they don't feed him

I would give your kid lunch. Might just be snacks rather than full-on party tea. Agree with others, always eomehting on offer.

Also never been to a party where there wasn't food provided. However, because of the time I would given DD a sm,all lunch in advance.

I would always assume there was going to be food.

Although swimming parties don't always have food as there may not be seating facilites and DD2 went to an outdoor pursuits party recently and there was no food there either.

Mine have always eaten beforehand even if it's just beans on toast because 2 hours later they will be starving anyway!

Thanks. He had something before we went and and they DID have food there. But as ds isn't really into all the junk food stuff, it's probably best I fed him before we went.

Thanks for all the replies
