Hello- Can anyone suggest a great place to take my 17yr old with a couple of mates for a fantastic London afternoon tea, or anything really, that's unusual and special? Been looking at Sketch for example- but if there was a really cool special memorable place or something to do, it would be fantastic- she's been a bit fed up recently, missing her friends etc.. no idea is too preposterous! Thank you

Sketch will be perfect for a group of 17 year olds, if only for its Instagram potential! What sort of thing is you DD into?

There is a 'ball bar' somewhere trendy in Shoreditch. It's an adult ball park! Has a DJ, cocktail bar etc - might be fun - deals on Groupon.

Thank you to both of you- she's really into anything fun and surprising- Torn though, between something trendy, and something incredibly conventional- like tea at the Ritz...because you've got to go there at least once in your life- I'm thinking? Love the sound of a deal however, will investigate- thank you

Have breakfast at the Cereal Killer Café on Brick Lane (before having a look at the street art in the area for example). They stock an impressive choice of funky cereals. Try one of their fun recipes (usually including a dun assortment, popping candy, a chocolate sauce…), choose your milk (normal, vanilla, almond, coconut…) They have now opened a new branch in Camden – bigger, even more fun.

Give the “London double decker tour” a twist. Here are two options, both on a vintage double decker: the BB Bakery afternoon tea and the Ghost Bus Tour (not scary, really on the fun/laugh all you can side). And yes, the usual iconic views of the capital.

Or try molecular ice cream made with liquid nitrogen at Chin Chin Labs.

Hello!
I’m having a cystoscopy tomorrow, and very nervous. I’m having it because, a few months ago I had a one off experience of blood in my urine- which hasn’t happened since. The doctor thought it was probably nothing, then thought she ought to see it through and get this done- I have since had a smear test and a urine test that have been perfectly normal. She thinks this might be over kill but got to see it through- and of course my imagination has been going into over drive, and I’m dreading the actual thing. Has anyone had experience of a cystoscopy? Was it bearable?!
