I'll do it if he really wants it, and he does really seem to want this for his birthday this year....

I just wanted to know will this be suitable for a small and intimate party??? Ds' birthday falls in the summer hols when lots of people will be away, and also ds really doesn't want and wouldn't enjoy a 'whole class' type party, he is much more likely to cope with say 5 other kids (I think we'll have about 3 or 4 kids from school and ds' two cousins).....anyone with experience, will this be ok for a soft play party or will his party food bit be in a room set up for 30 of the little blighters???? Should I avoid this sort of party for only a few kids?

Any other inspirational ideas for a small but fun do for a 5 year old?

TIA, most grateful for any help, am party novice

The soft play centre my DD goes to has 2 rooms, 1 that caters up too 18 children and the other caters up too 30, there is usually a 10 child minimum for a party.

What you could do is take a few children there for a play and buy them a meal and a drink and bring along a cake.

At some soft play you can get exclusive use, so long as you are flexible about times - such as evening or Sunday morning for example.

At the soft play parties we have been to, the party area has been in a seperate room. Ap[art form at Brewster type places, where they are in same room as other people - Brewsters is one place where you can hire exclusive use.

thanks guys. I may re-think actually - really don't think ten kids or more is what ds would enjoy......hmmmm.....

gah! parties....I guess we could just take his chosen few along for a normal session then take them home for party food
