what shall i get a 2 year old boy for his birthday present. what is good and worthwhile?

my son is 2 tomorrow, going in to town today to get his some presents. what would you recommend? any suggestions?

DS1 is 3 now, but for his 2nd birthday his fave toys were:

Garage (We got ELC wooden one)
Little People Castle
Thomas stuff (small track/trains)
Playdough
A small friction powered Postman Pat van...which he still plays with (as does 1yr old DS2) and is a hit with any playmates visiting too.

what is budget? mine likes all things truck at the moment.
