help - reading for 9 year old son at our wedding????

Our son will be reading something at our wedding in 3 weeks but for the life of me I can't find the right text. Have been looking at song lyrics and poems. When I suggest love-related stuff he looks like he might faint (e.g. John Lennon "Love"). I think we need something funny and light hearted - maybe about family/parents/the future? I was trying to think of a poem by Michael Rosen but have had no luck. Any ideas anyone? I've been so confused I wondered about the Pokemon them song...

We had my 11 year old cousin read love is like owning a dog. But we are dog people. We also had an excerpt from Calvin and Hobbes about love which was simple and funny.
