Just wondering what you have done or would like to do for your 2 year-olds birthday party? We want to have one at home and are wondering how mnay children to invite/how many parents/ do we need to organise games? Thanks!!

DD had her 2nd birthday in April and we did this:

For an hour or so, we went with 3 other children (aged, 2, 3 and 5) to soft play. Then all went back to our apartment, with grandparents, auntie and uncle for afternoon tea, play with her toys and to open presents. DD had a lovely day, we all did Friends left after a couple of hours. Relatives in the evening.

DD was invited to a graden birthday party recently for a 2 year old friend and that was lovely too. There were 6 2 year olds, and a couple slightly older. All brought parents with them - we didn't know family at all, friend from nursery. Was in garden and they had a big bouncy slide, bubble machine and face painting. No organised games at all. There was food and drink for both adults and children. Day was very warm and the children had a great time, simply playing.

At one we went to the Mum had organised pass the parcel and they all played it really nicely! I was amazed. She put a little packet of buttons in each layer and in the final parcel as well so everyone had the same. Mummies were all sat behind kids on floor to help but, honestly, it was very successful!

DD (age 2) also loves pass the parcel

We hid a present for each one in the garden and they went to look for them with a parent - to make sure they all got one. That worked well. They also had ice cream cones with hundreds and thousands which they thought were fantastic. We had about 6 little ones with mums and dads.
