Bouncy castle hire terms say no face paint

Planning a party in local village hall for DD's 5th bday. Have organised hire of bouncy castle plus soft play equipment, and professional face painter. Have just looked at terms of BC hire and they say "no face paint as may permanently stain the equipment". Is this usual? Does everyone just ignore this? (Have been to loads of kids' events with both BCs and FP.) Do they put it in just to cover themselves in case you really trash their equipment or are they absolutely expecting you to follow it?

I can understand their stance. All it means is that children with face paint won't be permitted on bouncy castle. Perhaps they can bounce first then get a face paint.

Every time I've hired one or manned one at the school fair I've had it drummed into me that face painted kids aren't allowed on, or you lose your deposit/have a pay out for a full clean.

Think it's the oil based paints in face paints that they then obviously don't want to run the risk of staining the next clients' clothes.

Ah, thanks, I'd forgotten about this thread! I resolved the issue in the end by choosing a BC company whose Ts & Cs stated "please wipe off all face paint after use". Successful party! Thanks (belatedly) for the responses.
