I'm organizing my first kids party........help

Hi,

I've been asked to organize my friends daughters party (she'll be 5) and I've never done this before. I've booked the hall and entertainment, the only thing I'm stressing about is the tableware and decorations.

How many banners do I need?
How many extra napkins/cups etc do I buy (there's 28 children altogether)?

Hope someone can help.

Banners totally depends on size of the hall (sorry unhelpful). If you are arty at all could you make one or two large banners perhaps? Use cheap roll of wallpaper (as its thicker) or wrapping paper.
Lots on eBay do personalised banners.

Re cups and napkins, make sure you have a few spare cups as kids don't keep on eye on them and will put down half drunk ones then ask for another! Maybe have themed ones for the table and some cheaper ones spare? Same for napkins. HTH
