Tea party for 6 year old girls

DD has a tea party booked for her 6th birthday in a local vintage tea room.
There will be 13 girls.

Basically, they provide a little afternoon tea of sandwiches, cakes, a cup cake and unlimited squash and then we get the party and room handed over to ourselves.

DD doesn't particularly like games and says they're too old for them?!!! although she has agreed on a pass the parcel. So, we have tiaras to make I thought maybe before the food. Then food (as they like to get it served first really). Then I have bracelet making stuff and little organza bags to take them home in, they can have a glitter tattoo put on, then party music and disco lights and pass the parcel. Will also have little sweet jars they can choose their own pick and mix from to take home.

Is this enough for 2 hours? Or will I have a load of bored 6 year old girls on my hands?!

Any ideas greatly welcome - we usually just do soft play or cinema/pizza!

Can you also get someone in to do their nails? 13 sounds v old for pass the parcel, though I guess if gifts are suitably mature the girls will be thrilled

Ah, ignore me, just read it properly! They're 6, still nails might work?

I think it sounds lovely btw!

Ahh thanks Tully, we did want nails done but I wasn't sure the tea rooms would allow it? Might be worth asking x

I asked and they will allow nail painting, yay!

So the plan is;
Make tiaras
Eat/drink afternoon tea
Make bracelets
Pass the Parcel
Glitter tattoos/nails painted
Disco lights and music
Pick and mix sweets
Home.

Parties are stressful!

I would have some back up games, such as Musical Statues, to use if they get fed up of dancing.

Do you know any country dances/barn dances you could teach them?

Team games? Over and under with balloons etc.

6 yr olds too old for party games?
WHAT?!! Shock

Ok. Each to their own.
Dancing. Perhaps make up and teach a "ballroomesque" routine aka the big ballroom dances in every princess in a castle movie. Either way, absolutely take music. You can always throw in musical statues/bumps as a time filler if they get bored and the sugar from the cakes takes hold

Flower planting. If you're worried about mud then cress planting on cottonwool in a teacup (can be plastic!)
