Just that really! DD2 is having a few friends round for her 7th birthday party, we are making no-sew teddies and doing some crafts, but for some reason we made the party 3 hours long so will need to fill in with a few games I think! Have sorted pass the parcel (but the left/right story version), feel maybe they are past musical bumps etc now?! I don't know! I was thinking about a treasure hunt maybe but useless at thinking up rhymes! Any ideas gratefully received!!....

It's a bit of a tricky age, in a house - I could think of ones they might play at Brownies or Beavers, but you tend to need a larger number and a big hall to play them in.
At that age both my dds would be happy out in the garden with a football, or rugby ball, but I realise that's not for everyone, and, of course, is weather dependent.

What about getting them cooking ? 'Make' something for the party food - make their own pizzas or the cakes or decorate some cakes or biscuits ? Would that work?

Give them them sheets of newspaper and magazines, cello tape and divide into teams. Each team picks a model and they "design" clothes onto the model. End with a fashion show and pick a winner. Takes a long time and is great fun!

Sliver I could have written your op. I was thinking of musical chairs, Pinata, and a treasure hunt something like the easter on below. I'll just tweet it a bit.

Maybe a disco and paint there nails. Other than that I'm at a loss. I'll be watching your thread with interest Grin

Out of interest have you used no sew bear kits before? Where they easy to do? I might steal that idea.

There's a great game where you go around a circle rolling a dice, when someone rolls a 6 they put on a hat, scarf, gloves, sunglasses and cut up a bar of dairy milk with a knife and fork until someone else rolls a 6 and they have to take it all off and pass it on.

Thanks for your ideas everyone! I am also hoping as the weather has turned nicer they might just be happy playing in the garden for a bit! Oohnewshoes I haven't personally used the no-sew bear kits before but have heard lots of good reviews, my daughter went to a party at a girls house before and they made them, she loved it and its a very good quality teddy! The company I used online were Splodge Teddy Parties, very good quick service and lovely range of animals/teddies etc! Right, I am off to source some newspapers/magazines and chocolate....!!! (and wine, for me that is!)

Sack racing, Sumu suits or a good old bouncy castle!
