Oooh, my speciality!

Bobbing - apples in water, gummy worms in spray cream, small toys in flour - be sure to take photos of the results!

Slime race with cauldrons of slime made from cornflour and water and food colouring.

Relay races with water.

Anything with water balloons.

Snake hunts after dark with torches and gummy worms in the living room or more adventurous stuff outside.

And peanut races where you have to push a peanut in its shell around an obstacle course.

The Opal Fruit challenge - everyone lies down with an Opal Fruit on their forehead and you give them challenges like clap your hands, look left etc. If the sweet falls off you get to eat it. If it stays on - you win the game.

Pumpkin toss - team event - one boy from each team has a plastic pumpkin tied to his waist. His teammates try to throw things into the pumpkins and he has to catch them - great spectator sport!

Craft Ideas - decorate trick-or-treat bags or design a pumpkin face.

Let them draw monsters on the windows with window markers or on the walls with chalk and shoot them off with water pistols.

Have a scavenger hunt with homemade ghosts, made with crepe paper and lolly sticks. Have letters on the ghosts and have the teams make words with them.

Put your prizes in a bucket of witches vomit (runny porridge with green food colouring) and let the winners retrieve them!

Mummy wrap - which team can cover their teammate in toilet paper the fastest?

Bowls of unusal textured foods behind a sheet, you have to put your hand in to retrieve something, not knowing what you're putting your hand in.
Cooked cold spaghetti
Jelly
Cold porridge
Semolina/Rice pudding
Baked Beans
All that sort of stuff makes for some interesting screams and howls when their hands go in !!!!

What do I do with the doughnuts? It all sounds a bit messy for my poor dining room. More please.

We had a doughnut race - how quicky you good eat it. Some kids were more interested in licking off the sugar than winning but they had a great time.
We also did a game from my childhood - kneel on a chair and bend over the back of the chair and drop a fork into a bucket of water with apples swirled round. It's harder than it sounds and the kids really loved doing this.We had to set up two buckets.
