Laser tag party - too far too travel?

I was thinking of bringing DS who will be turning 10, and a few friends (have a budget of around £100) to Mayhem [[http://www.laser-mayhem.co.uk/events/kidsbirthdayparties]] but it would take about an hour and a half on public transport to get there. Is that too long or could it be fun?

Otherwise there is one much closer to us [[http://www.ultimaterecreation.co.uk/starcommand/laser-tag-london.asp]] and would take about 45 mins to get there, but it's far less value for money (half the amount of playing time) and I'm not entitled to the party room as I don't meet the minimum number requirement. The other place give you half hour use in the party room, you can bring your own food, they provide free drinks and a free mug for every child.

How many children?
Will you be taking them all on public transport?
Have any of your son's other friends expected you to travel that "far" for any of their parties?
