Does this sound like a good party?

DS turns 3 in June and I think I have a great idea for a party- diggers! I can borrow two builders trays (the kind on legs) and put digger toys in with various materials - sand, pebbles, oats, brown and black play doh. Plastic animals. Some trugs of sand with toys buried on. A pile of compost with spades. (I'd warn everyone it would be messy)

Ds would love it, but would other kids? Thinking of inviting four 3 year olds. I would have other toys out too.

TIA

I think it sounds a great idea.
In my experience, at this age, kids aren't that great with lots of people and party games, they mostly like playing with toys and having party food!

Sounds great, as long as you have plenty of diggers to go around.

I'd be tempted to offer at least one other activity in case, maybe printed out digger colouring sheets or put any trikes/scooters you have around.

Agree with PP, some kids aren't great with messy play (seems unheard of I know...) But something alternative like colouring sheets, and clean activities just in case someone freaks at the sand. Otherwise, Fab idea!
