It's my mums 60th and I'm planning a big party- live band, yummy food etc.
I've got personalised banners, balloons in coordinating colours, blown up picture for the walls, pretty centrepieces and a guest book. Does anyone have any suggestions for other pretty/ memorable/ useful things I can do? Nt necessarily expensive but that shows thoight and attention to detail?

For my parents anniversary we made a big cardboard "25" covered in black and white pictures of them both. We also had photo albums out on the tables of memorable wedding/baby/holiday photos. Interesting for the other guests and hilarious to look at fashion and hair choices too!

Party favours - something like mini chocolate truffles for the guests to take home. Could be cheap if you made them up yourself. Likewise, party bags for the children to keep them quiet (for all of 4 minutes).

A special drink for the event. Eg it could be alcoholic or non, but you could present it in a way to make it memorable like chopped fruit, a cocktail umbrella, straw and some edible glitter.

Thanks, loving the ideas. I'm a bit short on time and have to fly to get there so my options are somewhat limited but definitely food for thought. Thank you

What about a DVD of old photos. We did one for mums 60th with photos of her from a baby until now. If the venue has a projector you could show it on there and play a significant song in the background
