MY MUMS 60TH - 2 WEEKS TIME - NOT SPECIAL ENOUGH

i have booked a restaurant, plan to make a cake

anyone got any great ideas how to make it extra special?

appreciate any tips

Could you have a picture of your mum at each place setting (at 0, 5, 10 etc seeing as how there's 12 guests and she's 60?). Or do you mean how to make the cake special?

Or how about a photo album of your mum's life left on the table for guests to look at with space at the back to write their own messages to her.

A 'This is your Life' book? Funny memories from old friends, siblings etc. Photos from schooldays, wedding, first house etc?

How is she getting to the restaurant ? If the budget won't go for a luxury car ride why not decorate the car she is going in.

How many grandchildren does she have,get them althougher take a photo get it enlarged and buy a nice frame.

60 small pressies.

make a fruit salad using 60 different fruits - you only need one of each, it looks and sounds really impressive and you can buy it all in the supermarket!

Put cream and sparklers in it instead or as well as a cake.

Everyone think of five great things about her and go round the table so she has 60 nice things about her said.

For my great aunt's 80th made a cake with 80 pink roses - easy, just roll up thin strips - practice with play dough.
