Ideas for interesting party bag fillers for toddlers??

We will be throwing a 2nd birthday for my son and I don't want to just put the same old same old bits in the party bags for the other children. Does anyone have any interesting ideas of fillers that would be fun and suitable for children between 1-5 years old??

I have done mr men books before
Bubbles always go down well
A small bath toy
Magic paint books and a cheap paintbrush

Depending on if you like the parents or not but wilkinsons do punch balloons on elastic and toddlers LOVE them filled with a few grains of rice but they make such an annoying sound after the first 10 min!!!

Mini play doh and a couple of cutters or tools. Argos do 18 pots with some accessories and it's always on offer.

Kazoo (other parents will hate you, kids love them)
Torch
Little parachutes for throwing

Mini colouring books, with little crayon packet.
Bubbles,
mini sweet bag or mini snack bars,
Or the lucky dip bags(they have all kinds in there, toys,colouring pages or book etc) I'm sure I see some the other day in £stretcher.

Buy a pack or however many you need of books froths book people. A small toy and a piece of cake. Job done

These animal snap bands are great for 60p-£1 each (depending on how many you need) Not sure if they'd be suitable for very young children though?

We are doing Disney books... Approx 20quid for 30 and they will d another year too

10p bag of Haribo for the child and a £1 bag for the parents

Cake will be a must of course, was hoping to do something a bit different to the usual pack of crayons and bag of sweets, not that they're not nice to have, but fancied being a bit more creative. I've seen the idea of finger puppets too, and some of the suggestions above are brill! Thanks x

You can buy cookie making kits from Katie's bakes. Yum and fun. I had them for my son's third birthday

Packet of seeds - obviously need parental help to plant but if you get something quick growing eg cress then most 2 year olds like them.

Yellow moon for little craft sets.

But agree with PPs about Book People sets - made the mistake of buying individual Mr Men books before I discovered Book People.

All three of above ideas have worked for a variety of ages but obviously choosing different age appropriate things.

since Halloween is approaching, you can put some paint books of pumpkins and Halloween Glow Sticks in your party bags.

We've done playdough (big ones if I can get a good deal), mr men books and crayons a lot. Notepads always much loved. I avoid cheap plastic tat and go for stuff that actually gets used.

Last party I found cheap boxes of glitter glue pens in Tesco and put one in each bag which was popular.

Please no bubbles - my house is overflowing with them!

I think temporary tattoos, big balloons and things that you can blow all go down well.

Bubbles are always loved
