does this party sound ok for 5 year old dd

Never done a party at home before and it's keeping me up at night. Inviting 9 children plus DD of course makes 10.

Party is 2-4 on a Sunday.

2-30: Games in the garden (pin tail on donkey, pass parcel, musical statues)

2.30 - 3: Afternoon tea (just little sandwhiches and a few cakes etc.)

3 - 3.45: Balloon model/ magic lady

3.45 -4: Bday cake, give out party bags

Feel like I've planned it as best I can but they will trash the place and nothing will go to plan

What will you do if it rains ? Can you just transfer into a room ?

I think the key is to have several ideas of things you can do at the drop of a hat.
Musical statues / bumps / corner / colours etc.
Sleeping lions

Then if things go quicker than expected, you won't be floundering.
That said, if it's nice, they might well be happy "just playing" in the garden with your dds toys, without needing games.

If it rains, I have a lounge that's got a conservatory attached so will just push my sofas back and use that space.

I think it is the timings that worry me most. If the weathers nice DD had a sand pit and some garden games so will put those out. If all else fails I think I'll rely in sleeping lions etc. Will have to think about craft as I only have a small table.

Todays weather has worried me too!
