We are hosting a mad-cap halloween party so all our friends can let their hair down a bit - any ideas for food/activities/decorations/husbands costume??( I'm going to reprise easy cat costume from uni days!)

For halloween 2 yrs ago I was a witch (everyone commented on how good my costume was & how long it must have taken - I went to the wardrobe & got out lots of black clothes, painted my nails red & found a plastic spider & witches hat in town!)

OH & a few mates were "roadkill" one year - white face paint, normal clothes, cheap t-shirt. For the t-shirt they painted a car tyre black & drove over it & then rolled around on the grass in their costumes. A bit gruesome but no-one else was dressed like that.

Other ideas - Dracula (use cape or a bin bag & the false teeth), a housemate was a gravestone (gravestone shaped sandwich board!), zombie (normal clothes pale face with fake wounds).

Decorations - large fake spider webs, broomsticks, jack-o-lanterns lanterns, spiders, - lots of orange & black.

Food - fairy cakes with orange & black icing & halloween decoration, a blood red punch.
