DH is 40 this year (in a few months time) and decided he would like to have a party (preferably a BBQ) at home so that our friends with children can come earlier in the afternoon and those who can stay later can relax and have a few drinks.
As it's a birthday milestone, I'd like to make it a bit more special/exciting than a regular BBQ at home. Has anyone been to any memorable (in a good way) birthdays at home or have any ideas on how to add a bit a unique/different feel to the party?
We'd probably have around 15-20 people and our garden is not huge...
