Where in London Can I see the Fireworks?

without going into London City itself? It's obviously going to be Hell on Earth to celebrate by the Thames, and we are staying in Camden. Any ideas of where we can go to see the fireworks that doesn't involve the chaos of underground at midnight etc? A park or something that has the views?

It's over thirty years since I was in London, but if you are in Camden, I would have thought a 24 bus to Hamptsead Heath, particularly Parliament Hill, ought to do it.

Even if there aren't actually fireworks on the Heath, top of the hill will give view over whole to Ldn.

Other buses probably to Parliament Hill Fields, but don't know the numbers.

thank you! I think we are going to stay put, drink fizz and watch from the top room (4 floor house we are renting out), we should see some of the fireworks from here.

Someone else suggested Primrose Hill, which also not far from Camden.

Hope this not too late!

Aparently they have smelly ones, and edible confetti this year.

The radio has all been warnings about pickpockets and muggers.

It's tittling down with rain. I think I will stay in with a bottle of fizz and Jools Holland!

Maybe we will go and watch the parade tomorrow.

Pavlovthecat · 31/12/2013 18:05

nicename yes I am definitely up for the parade tomorrow. Do you recommend a good place to watch it? I used to go to it as a child. We are visiting from Devon with family from USA so it will be lovely to go with them all (apart from the men, who have opted for football...)

We have been out in the rain all day in Hyde Park, think we will stay in too, as we have a feast cooking, and nice drinks, and lots of tired family from USA. But, DH and I are coming back next year I think so we will do Primrose Hill or similar then. Thanks for suggestions.
