It's my big 50 in September (I still act like I'm 18 mind :-) ... and hubby is asking me what I'd like to do by way of celebrating.
I've decided on something on a smallish scale with a group of friends, about 10 couples, rather than a party/ disco in a hall etc. (don't do disco's) with loads of people.
Anyway, hubby has looked into having a marquee in our garden which would incorporate our grape vine & jasminoid covered Pergola, plus a small tree & rose beds which are lit up. Should look really pretty & unique all being 'indoors'. BUT, we're sort of stuck on what to do for :
a) Food - do we get caterers in ? and, what food ?
b) Entertainent ? And what/ who ?
I can't stand the corporate stuff like close up Magicians, Roulette table etc.
Anyone have any suggestions or recommendations. We're close to Reading.
