Help! DS2 has asked for a Minecraft Party for his 7th birthday !

Kinda know what Minecraft is and have a friend on board to do,the cake but am stumped as to what games, activities the children could do.

DS2 suggested everyone bringing an iPad and play MC for the whole of the party.........I think not!!

Could they make mjnecraft models out of Lego? You can get mine raft Lego kits, ds2 got one for his bday today. But you could use any Lego.

Or something like making creeepers or the tools with craft stuff?!!

There are some great ideas on pinterest . They could make their own diamond swords out of card . There are also loads of printable paper models online .
We made a creeper pinata , that was quite easy .

DS wants a party like this too, but his birthday is not for a while yet. Plan to have my sister make a cake, me to make a piñata and also pin the nose on the creeper!you can buy a poster in hmv and use blu tak for the nose. Tbh boys that age will just run around. I'd be tempted to buy minecraft foam swords and just let them out the back to fight!

I k ow I have never bought Lego from the official site before, always got it cheaper elsewhere bit they are selling it at the lowest price I can find! Its still expensive form what you get bit it was what ds2 wanted.

I got a mine craft poster fro ds2.

The guy o spoke to in the shop in town said its currently expensive as its all imported from America but a British company has just got copyright so we should see some non imported stuff soon and that will be cheaper.

There was a toy creeper, just a plastic model, £35!!!

For music you could play the countless minecraft parodies that are on you yube

let the kids paint a creeper face using a plastic stencil. I think you could do T-shirts or bags if you found the right color.

Another activity is icing to make Minecraft party food, I think it would be fun to give them those tools and see what kind of real Minecraft world they could make. You could add different color gumballs for the elements such as gold or diamonds.

We played footie rather than minecraft games, but I did do creeper gift bags, cube invitations, a minecraft cake and the birthday boy wore a creeper t shirt.
