Hotel Chocolate do some great gift boxes/bags/crates etc and will deliver for a pressie.

Crocus do the same too. Am very impressed with their delivery.

you can do that with just about anything these days - I do it all the time for my geographically disparate family

flowers- crocus.co.uk, John Lewis, M&S, Next, vivelarose.com
balloons - no idea - have a google
cuddly toys - ditto
plants / things for the garden - crocus again
chocolate - Hotel Chocolat
cheese - Paxton & Whitfield
books, cds, dvds - Amazon
gadgets - firebox, iwantoneofthose.com
random pretty things - Graham & Green
goats etc - Oxfam Unwrapped

oh, and cakes/ biscuits - Beverly Hills Bakery.com
foodie gifts - seriously-good.co.uk

gifts2drink dot co dot uk - nice drinks/flowers plus extra gifts. I use this for customer presents and have always had good feedback

Find a local store on the internet and call them directly and get them to deliver directly rather than doing it through a representative.
