I'd spend 30 quid max. Theatre tickets, just send DH to suss out what the partner likes. If she doesnt like them, she can pass them on as a gift .

I was 50 last week and tbh theatre tickets would be the last thing I'd want, as it would mean I had to traipse into London, which I hate, and spend £100 plus on trains/taxis/meal.

If you were my dhs colleague, I'd have appreciated a bottle of champagne, or just a voucher for somewhere like the White Company.

(and just realised that should have said "60th" but think I'll go with champagne)
