Fancy Dress ideas needed for people who don't 'do' Fancy Dress...

We don't, we really really don't (well, the DC do, but me and DH don't)

We need ideas for Letter 'D' fancy dress, suitable for me (overweight and self conscious) and DH and then 12 and 14yo DSs and nearly 9 DD.

DH has already refused to go as a Drag Queen miserable bugger

Can't afford to hire anything but I'm fairly handy with basic sewing/painting/general bodging.

Drummer? Wear something nice and sling a drum wound your neck!

Doodle? Wear a plain t shirt with trousers and doodle all over it front and back with a black sharpie.

We're actually contemplating Dalek - either me or DD. Saw some good Dalek (and TARDIS) dresses from the San Diego Comic Con, and I think I might be able to manage a simple version.

I think generally speaking the "easier" options like "devil" or"domino" work best...
