We're holding a joint christening/first birthday party in october for our DS. We've booked a buffet at a hotel for after the christening. And I'm just looking for ideas for keeping our younger guests entertained (. We haven't got masses of money to spend but I really want to have something fun there for them.

He's our first so we're pretty new to the party scene.

Hi. If you have the room, We set up ' stations ' ie one table for playdoh, one face painting, one making crowns, sticker books, baloon animal making etc ... Obviously you need parent volunteers to help oversee the kids. You can get all these things from toys r us or pound shops. Kids loved it !!!

Or you can set up a small soft play area ( from a hire company )

Bouncy castle ... Not sure if hotel will allow it ?

Entertainer ( money permitting )

Hope some of this helps

Some good ideas, thanks! I'm definitely on a trip to the pound shop for some bits and will check put the soft play hire. That could work.
