Excellent. Thank you! And activities? And is it wrong to wash a champagne bottle out and serve elderflowrr cordial in it?

The champagne bottle might be a bit precocious, not sure I'd want to see ginger beer served out of Budweiser bottles at a junior's party. I might just be being a bit prudish though.

I'm not sure about activities. Do you mean games? What about a French-themed game of corners, with four pictures of typically French things eg the Eiffel Tower, err, a croissant etc Grin.

Photograph them all trying to look like the Mona Lisa, get a brown/dark sheet to wrap around them and print off a picture of the actual painting so they know what they're aiming for. Print off their photo for them to take home.

Have a competition to see who can guess how tall the Eiffel Tower is. The nearest wins a prize.

Yes. Point taken. Maybe it's a bit tricky.

Game ideas are good. Thank you.

For games what about doing a 'Paris fashion week' game where teams are given some old newspapers and sellotape and have to make an outfit for one of the team. You'd need someone to judge the best outfit.

Or 'build the highest Eiffel tower'? Maybe out of pipecleaners?

Lots of French flags about, lots of blue-white-red, stripey jumpers, baguettes, sirops for drinks, musicals bumps/statues etc to French music, sing 'Joyeux Anniversaire' instead of Happy Birthday ....

Play musical statues with French music (Jonny Halliday/Serge Gainsbourg etc)

Pin the beret on the Frenchman (if you're going to go for national stereotypes, you may as well go the whole hog :o)

French word bingo?
