Party for dd(9) - worrying about leaving people out...

Hi

We have booked for dd and 7 friends to go to the circus for her 9th birthday. She will be inviting 4 girls from her class and 3 from another class, however there are 7 other girls whose parties she has been to this year who we can't invite due to costs. I feel bad Sad

Do you think I should arrange another small party for them (seems mad but hate upsetting people) or is that just the way it goes??? Dd has obviously had a good year for party invitations...(it is a large school!)

Also - do I need to do party bags or can I get away with a piece of cake and sweets for the circus????

Thank you!

Hi maybe,

I wouldn't worry about upsetting people, it's just the way it goes. Ime, as they get older, everyone tends to have smaller parties anyway.

I would do party bags but that's just me...I enjoy doing them so no hassle, but I'm sure cake and sweets would be equally well received.

Have a great time :)

Thank you! My heart is slowly stopping thumping - don't know why I get so worried about all this stuff... Probably too much reading of AIBU on hereGrin
