Party Food...would your child eat cold pizza?

I'm providing the food for my son's 5th birthday party and am planning on serving ham/cheese/jam sandwiches, mini sausages, grapes, popcorn, crisps, biscuits, buns and feel something is missing. I won't have access to an oven but thought that maybe the children would eat cold pizza but am unsure if this would be popular or a waste.

Thanks for reading.

My dc's would not eat cold pizza! The food you are suggesting sounds enough.

My DC think cold pizza in their lunch box is a massive treat. And that's the tesco value pizza.

But you never know what children will eat. One party I went to, all the children got stuck into the bread sticks and ate barely anything else leaving platefuls of cakes and crisps.

My son won't eat pizza, hot or cold. Or sandwiches. However, he'd be happy with a few mini sausages, biscuits and crisps.

Yes -have served it at kid's parties too and went down well.

mine wont even eat hot pizza! sausage rolls maybe?

UntamedShrew · 07/06/2012 18:39

Mine wouldn't - but they love cold sausage rolls if you feel something is missing.

What time do you want us? Grin

5yo DD would happily eat cold pizza and it all got eaten at her last birthday party. That said the spread you've suggested sounds plenty.

My DCs (10 and 7) won't entertain cold pizza. You'd think i was trying to poison them. In fact it's only ever a dinner of last resort for my 7yo (generally when he's got fussy friends over).

Everything else on you list they would love.

The savoury stuff at DS's 4th birthday the other week was - ham or cheese sandwiches (tiny ones), cold pizza, cucumber/carrot/red pepper sticks, cheese board (DS big blue cheese fan), crisps, breadsticks, hummus, chive & sour cream dip, cheese biscuits and sausage rolls. Then there was a load of sweet stuff (gingerbread, crispy-cakes, shortbread, marshmallows) , most of it got eaten except strawberries & jelly.

Thanks for all your replies. I think i will give the pizza a miss!
